Kimdra McNeil
Owner/Operator
Kimdra worked as Retention Manager, Learning Resource Manager and Faculty Member teaching business classes within higher education for over fifteen years. During her tenure in higher education she has instructed nearly 10,000 students/faculty annually on information literacy, database research, business and career development. She also developed programs to retain students/clients, Kimdra educated all on how retention is far more cost effective than recruitment weather it be students, customers, or employees.
Kimdra has also dedicated herself over the years to assist her students and colleges with business development and entrepreneurship, while pursuing several business endeavors of her own. When asked about why she wanted to start Shop Black Enterprise® she was quoted as saying “ Time and time again I saw the same problem with Black business start-ups. They either did not have adequate capital, or adequate time, or adequate help. But most often they didn’t have any of these things which hindered their process. Like me, most where trying to do everything themselves while still working full-time and taking care of a family and most cannot sustain this in the long run. Shop Black Enterprise® was developed to provide support in all of these areas to give their businesses a fighting chance.”
Kimdra believes that her vast experience in performance problem analysis, instructional system design, research and her love of entrepreneurship has prepared her to help to take on this endeavor. Kimdra wanted to leave us with this, “ There is enough room at the table for all of us, if we work together there is NOTHING we cannot accomplish.”

Managing Partner
Shop Black Enterprise®LLC (SBE) is the culmination of my years as a University Professor and a business consultant working with many mostly Black owned startups. I met Kimdra McNeil, the owner of SBE, at Strayer University almost a decade ago. Kimdra watched me manage and consult to the entertainment industry and small business community building careers and enterprise for others but never for myself. Kimdra and I often spoke about the shortcomings of resources to support small Black/Minority businesses and what was sorely needed. She asked me to join her and create a shopping network that would build: financial independence for Black and Minority entrepreneurs, jobs, generational wealth, community wealth and a stronger tax base to provide essential community services.
More importantly, to make these small Black businesses no longer small–the dream of every small business owner. I created the SORC® Radio Network LLC (SORC) licensed under MFM Digital Broadcasting in the UK. Through MFM, SORC® reaches into 145 countries and to an audience of 35-50 million listeners with 9000 Internet and Terrestrial affiliates. The Shop Black Showcase™ is broadcast live with streaming and recorded video featuring 6-8 SBE Merchant Members for 2-hours daily bringing millions of shoppers to Black and Minority owned Merchant Members. Membership benefits include no interest loans, a customer recognition program, AI tools to build their business and more. In our vision, the merchant keeps every dime of their sale. SBE is designed to be an organic part of both Black/Minority entrepreneurs and the communities in which they live and work.
In 2023 SBE is hosting a charitable concert event, Black Businesses Matter Live Aid Concert™ a live and virtual venue to raise money for Shop Back Enterprise member support and the support of Black and Minority businesses community.
Kimdra and I shared this vision and SBE is the result. Join, Shop and Enjoy!
